And then, Thrash and Kevin were gone. Just gone.

Paris

I've torn their room apart. Things were weird. Off, you know? Kevin's hair was in the sink. An electric shaver was there too. Thrash's stuff wasn't unpacked. His phone was on the bed and turned off. The room's phone was unplugged. A letter opener was on the desk like it had been used. There was a crushed joint on the bedside table. Kevin's most likely. Thrash probably went ballistic and Pissed Kevin off, maybe threatened him with the letter opener. But that doesn't explain the hair. Did Kevin force Thrash out? I doubt it. Thrash is stronger than Kevin any day - but still. I wish I could figure it out. Figure out where they are and if Thrash's uncle is involved.

Will

I can't take it. Can't, won't, take it. Somehow I have to find them. SOmehow I need to make this right. I can't take this feeling. The crushing inside me. Anxiety. I've always hated it. I don't want Boiled Cat to end. I don't want Thrash and Kevin to be gone for good. And the cops, they're no help. No one will look for them until they've been gone twenty-four,  or forty-eight hours, or something. I don't even know. So I'm lying here. Feeling out. Stretching myself. Maybe I can imagine, visualize, see what they see. Be where they are. Get a clue and go get them.

Jayson

So, from what I've gathered - Kevin was supposed to meet up with Johnny for pizza but he didn't show. The security guard saw Thrash run down the stairs but by the time he got down stairs too, Thrash was nowhere to be seen. Ruby called Jenna-Lee but she hadn't heard from Thrash and when we went to the hotel where she was, Thrash and Kevin weren't there either. We questioned some of the hotel people and found out There was a scuffle about a half a block away. The Lady at the desk saw it on her way to work. Three people were involved. A long haired kid, a bald kid, and a large guy in a black shirt. Thrash's description was the only thing that matched up - until we found the hair in the bathroom. Then the bald kid made sense. She didn't get the licence plate. Just tried to stay out of the way. She figured it had something to do with drugs or gangs. I wish it was that simple. Jenna-Lee is just about losing it. Ruby is like a rock. She's phoning and yelling and doing everything you would expect a manager to do. but she's not breaking down. Not at all. Not even when Kevin's dad freaked out. She's like a robot. Just focused on the job of getting Kevin and Thrash back. But I know, because I can see it in her tired eyes, she's hurting. And if she gets any time alone - she's going to fall apart. We're all going to fall apart. So I have to stay strong - for her. For Ruby.

Another Day passes

The sun rose, the day went on. Everyone going through the motions. I talked to the press. Tried to beg my way out of this. Tried to get through to the guy who took my two friends away. Pulled at his compassion over the air waves of radio and television, while the cops did their thing - nothing. Then the day went dark and we started in on the second night of absence. my heart complained it couldn't take any more. It couldn't go through all this hurt and uncertainty. But I told it - we had to. We had to keep going because Thrash and Kevin were probably going through worse. I've seen the sweat drip over Thrash's scars. Scars he says he gave himself. But there are raised ridges in places he can't reach and there are lines of pain that he couldn't have been responsible for - and I'm afraid. I'm afraid to imagine what might be happening.

News

Ruby got news. she's crying. First tears I've seen so far. That either means she doesn't have to be strong anymore or the news has broken her heart.

Ask Boiled Cat

Will the band be able to continue should the worst happen?

Jayson: You mean if Thrash and Kevin aren't found?
Paris: He means if they're dead.
Will: They're not dead! They're not!
Jayson: Boiled Cat is made up of five members.
Paris: Only five. Not three. Not four.
Will: If we lose even one – we're done. There's no replacing them. Boiled Cat would be over.
Jayson: But we're not going to lose anyone. We'll find them. I'm sure of it.
Will: And they’re going to be okay.
Paris: They better.
Will: I can still feel their auras. That's got to be good enough.
Paris: And I can still feel your stupidity.
Will: you doubt me?
Paris: I doubt the hippy crap you keep spouting.
Will: You want to say that to my face?
Paris: I am saying it to your face.
Will: Come on! Let's go!
Paris: All right!

            *Crash Bang*

Jayson: Yeah, we'll find thash and Kevin. The band will be all right.
